ForkDelta is a decentralized cryptocurrency exchange for ERC-20 tokens, a forked (cloned) EtherDelta exchange with enhanced functionality.
Client’s Needs
EtherDelta used to be the top place for STO-fresh ERC-20 tokens, but the system malfunctions and several other disadvantages have made it widely criticized by the blockchain community.
EtherDelta’s main disadvantages:
- high rates
- mass transactions unavailable in smart contract
- questionable data security
- low performance due to the unstable API
The aim of the project was to create a new decentralized ERC-20 tokens exchange retaining EtherDelta’s best features and adding the new enhanced functionality.
Solution
The initial goal was achieved by forking EtherDelta’s smart contract and working further on improving its functionality and terms of use.
ForkDelta was created as an open source version with improved features:
- lower transaction price
- mass transactions available
- secure operation and protected data
- better performance with stable API
In addition, the Ethertaker token widget was developed to easily buy and sell cryptocurrency at a click.
Result
The ForkDelta exchange has been successfully launched and processes over 10 000 transactions a day. It gathered positive feedback from the blockchain community for the following features:
- low fees
- high transaction speed
- smooth operation
